What is the Yourgi cancellation policy for Yourgi Pros?
As a Yourgi Pro, you can set your own cancellation notice period in the Yourgi platform. This allows you to determine how much advance notice you require from a Pet Parent to avoid a cancellation fee.
You can customize your cancellation notice period by selecting one of the following options:
If a Pet Parent cancels a booking, refunds are determined based on the cancellation notice period you have selected.
If a Pet Parent cancels before your selected notice period:
The Pet Parent will receive a full refund.
If a Pet Parent cancels within your selected notice period:
You will receive a 50% cancellation payout in accordance with Yourgi's payment terms, and the Pet Parent will receive a 50% refund.
Example:
If you set a 7-day cancellation notice period:
- A cancellation made 8 or more days before the service begins will receive a full refund.
- A cancellation made 6 days or less before the service begins will receive a 50% refund, and you will receive a 50% cancellation payout.
Extended Bookings
For services longer than 7 days, refunds will be capped at the equivalent of 7 days. This means that even if a booking exceeds 7 days, only up to 7 days will be considered when calculating the cancellation payout.
For example, if you have a 30 day boarding reservation cancelled after your selected notice period, only 50% of the amount charged for the first 7 days will be refunded to the customer.
What happens if I need to cancel a booking?
If you must cancel, use the Yourgi Pro app to process the cancellation. This will notify the Pet Parent. Frequent last-minute cancellations may impact your visibility in search results.
What if a Pet Parent cancels after a service has begun?
If a Pet Parent cancels after a booking has started, each case will be reviewed individually by Customer Support. Any refund or payout determination will depend on the circumstances of the cancellation, the service type, and the portion of the booking that has already been completed.
