Overview
Your booking invoice includes information about both the Pet Parent's charges and your payout as a Yourgi Pro. Because these amounts are shown together, the invoice can sometimes be confusing.
The easiest way to think about it is:
Estimated Payout = What you earn
Total = What the Pet Parent was charged
Here’s what each section means.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Estimated Payout mean?
The Estimated Payout at the top of the invoice is the amount you are expected to earn from the booking after applicable Pro fees.
This is the number to reference when you want to know how much you will receive for the service.
For example, if the invoice shows an Estimated Payout of $108, your expected payout is $108.
What does Charges & Services show?
The Charges & Services section shows the services provided and the amount being charged for those services.
For example:
- Boarding service: $120
This is the base service amount before fees, coupons, or other adjustments are applied.
What are the adjustments on the invoice?
The Adjustments section shows any additional fees, discounts, or credits applied to the booking.
You may see:
Yourgi Service Fee
This is the Stripe processing cost associated with the transaction. This fee is passed on to the Pet Parent.
Merchant Service Fee
This is the fee Yourgi charges the Pro for using the Yourgi platform. This amount is deducted when calculating your payout.
Coupon Code
If the Pet Parent uses a coupon or credit, you'll see the discount applied here. The coupon reduces the amount the Pet Parent pays.
What does Total mean?
The Total at the bottom of the invoice is the final amount charged to the Pet Parent after applicable fees, coupons, and adjustments.
It is not your payout amount.
Can you show me an example?
Using the example above:
| Invoice Item | Amount | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Service | $120 | Price of the boarding service |
| Yourgi Service Fee | +$6 | Fee passed on to the Pet Parent |
| Merchant Service Fee | $12 | Yourgi fee charged to the Pro |
| Coupon | -$100 | Discount applied to the Pet Parent's booking |
| Pet Parent Total | $26 | Amount the Pet Parent was charged |
| Estimated Payout | $108 | Amount the Pro is expected to earn |
The Pet Parent's coupon changes what the Pet Parent pays, but in this example it does not reduce the Pro's payout.
Why is my payout different from what the Pet Parent paid?
Your payout and the Pet Parent's total are calculated differently.
The Pet Parent's total can include fees, coupons, or credits. Your payout is based on the service amount and applicable Pro fees.
Because of this, do not use the Pet Parent's Total to determine how much you're being paid. Always reference Estimated Payout.
Why does the Payout column on my bookings page show a different amount?
Currently, the Payout column on the bookings page displays the amount charged to the Pet Parent rather than the Pro's actual payout.
For example, the bookings page may display $26 under Payout because $26 was charged to the Pet Parent after their coupon was applied. That does not mean the Pro's payout is $26.
To see what you are expected to earn, open the booking and review the Estimated Payout shown on the detailed invoice.
Where should I look if I only want to know how much I'm getting paid?
Look for Estimated Payout on the detailed invoice.
Estimated Payout = your expected earnings.
The Total and the amount currently displayed in the bookings-page Payout column reflect the Pet Parent side of the transaction and should not be used to determine your earnings.
