What are Drop-In Visits?
Drop-In Visits are a service you can offer where you visit a pet parent’s home for short periods of essential pet care, such as feeding, water, potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins. Visits are available for either 30 or 60 minutes and do not include overnight care.
Once enabled, the service appears on your public profile and becomes available for booking in your service radius.
Setting up Drop-In Visits
How do I turn Drop-In Visits on?
- Enable Drop-In Visits in your service settings.
- Turn the service on or off.
- Set your availability.
- Select which visit durations you would like to offer by setting your prices for each (30 and/or 60 minutes).
- Select your service radius.
- Select which species you accept (dogs, cats, or both).

After it’s enabled, pet parents in your service radius will be able to request bookings.
How does scheduling work?
Drop-In Visits use time slots based on your availability.
You control:
- The days and times you are available
- Your business hours (Open and Close times), which apply to all of your services. Pet parents can only request pet care when your business is open
- Which Drop-In Visit durations you offer
You are responsible for making sure your schedule allows enough time for travel between bookings.
What Drop-In Visit lengths can I offer?
You can offer:
- 30-minute visits
- 60-minute visits
You can choose to offer one or both.
You are expected to remain at the pet parent’s home for the full booked duration. Any changes to the visit duration should be discussed and agreed upon with the pet parent ahead of time through messaging.
Will Drop-In Visits show on my profile?
Yes. Once the service is enabled, it will appear on your public profile so pet parents can book you for Drop-In Visits.
Managing Drop-In Visit Bookings
Where do Drop-In Visits take place?
Drop-In Visits always take place at the pet parent’s home.
The platform confirms the pet parent’s address as part of the booking process.
Can a pet parent book multiple Drop-In Visits in the same day?
Yes. Pet parents can book multiple Drop-In Visits in the same day if their pet needs care at different times.
You should make sure each visit fits within your availability and allows enough time for travel between bookings.
How do I know if a booking is within my service area?
The platform checks the pet parent’s address during the booking process and only allows requests that fall within your service radius.
What happens when I receive a Drop-In Visit request?
Drop-In Visits follow the standard booking flow:
- You receive a booking request.
- You review the details, including the date, time, duration, pets, and service address.
- You accept, decline, or mark the request for a Meet & Greet.
Once accepted, the visit will appear with your other bookings.
What is Mark for Meet & Greet?
If you would like to meet the pet parent and their pet before accepting, you can mark the request for a Meet & Greet. This pauses booking notifications while you and the pet parent arrange a meet and greet through messaging.
After the meet and greet, you can accept or decline the request.
Where do I manage my upcoming Drop-In Visits?
All scheduled Drop-In Visits are available in your Bookings section where you can:
- View booking details
- Confirm the visit duration and time
- Review the pets included
- View the pet parent’s home address
- Message the pet parent
- Prepare for the visit
Can I message the pet parent?
Yes. You can message the pet parent through the platform to:
- Confirm care instructions
- Ask questions
- Coordinate entry into the home
- Confirm timing
- Discuss any necessary changes to the visit
What if the pet needs more than 60 minutes of care?
Drop-In Visits are intended for short-term care and are limited to 30 or 60 minutes.
If a pet parent needs more than 60 minutes of care, House Sitting may be a better service for their needs.
What if I need to change or can’t fulfill a Drop-In Visit?
If something changes, communicate with the pet parent as soon as possible through messaging and follow the standard booking management process in your Bookings dashboard.
